Chief Executive Officer - Jenni Beetson-Mortimer


Jenni Beetson-Mortimer is CEO of the Northern Rivers Community Gateway.  Jenni is a graduate of Social Leadership Australia and holds a Bachelor of Social Science.  She has completed post graduate studies in public sector management and is currently undertaking a Master of Human Resource and Organisational Development.  Jenni has worked in various roles in Government and the NGO sectors.  Since 2000 she has worked in leadership roles within the NGO sector as CEO, Manager, Planner and Community Development Worker.  Jenni is a Board member of Homelessness NSW. She is a full member of the Planning Institute of Australia, the Australian Institute of Management and the Case Management Society of Australia.


Social Inclusion Manager - Amitha Pathirana


Amitha Pathirana is the Manager of the Social Inclusion Branch at the Northern Rivers Community Gateway. Amitha has experience in management committees, governance, case management, program management and development in the NGO sector and small business management. She holds formal qualifications in Management,Community Development and Microfinance.  


 NSW NILS State Coordinator - Ingrid De Lacy


Ingrid has extensive experience in community development and microfinance. She has worked in the Solomon Islands as a Sustainable Livelihoods Advisor setting up 15 village banks around Western Province. She worked as the Chief Financial Officer for the key women’s microfinance organization in Vanuatu, computerizing their manual accounting systems, and setting up financial literacy training courses. She has worked training community development workers Cambodia, and as an educator at the Australian Centre for Education there. She also managed several large AusAID projects while working at international research institutes in Brisbane. Ingrid has a Masters in Community Development and a Bachelor of Economics/ Bachelor of Arts, all from the University of Queensland. She also has a Graduate Certificate in Accounting from Southern Cross University.

Ingrid joined Northern Rivers Community Gateway in 2012 as a StepUP Microfinance Worker, before moving into the role of Manager of Financial Inclusion Programs, including Northern Rivers NILS where she has been working hard to create a robust program that is responsive to customer’s needs. Ingrid took up part of the role of NILS NSW State Coordinator in March 2016 so she can use her experience and knowledge to create better outcomes for financially vulnerable people around NSW.


Children's Services Manager - Helen Hall


Has been has worked for local Government and the NGO sector primarily in the child care and disability fields. She has worked for the Northern Rivers Community Gateway for 16 years and currently hold a position as Manager of Children’s Services. Helen holds a Diploma of Children’s Services and an Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management as well as holding qualifications in community services and Alcohol
and Other Drugs. Helen is currently completing a Bachelor of Child and Family Studies.
